About our collaborator Pixie Phonics
Alyssa Christudason is a mother of two young girls, an entrepreneur, and an educator with more than 18 years of experience in teaching children from various age groups. With a background in Biomedical Sciences, Public Health and Early Childhood Education, she combines her knowledge, experience and creativity to curate and narrate stories in a way that captivates and engages children.
Alyssa founded her first company, Pixie Phonics, six years ago. Pixie Phonics offers reading and thematic play classes centred around stories. Alyssa’s storytelling is combined with music, singing, movement, puppetry, and hands-on activities focused on the story’s theme. Stories picked are aimed at being meaningful ones for children.
Alyssa believes that storytelling can help us connect with a child, forging a unique bond. After all, she believes that, "Where there is reading, there is magic."
